Downloads Galactic Struggle (PC Port) Review Galactic Struggle was manufactured in the fall of 1985. It was the first space shooter to incorporate depleting laser power (indicated by a green container). This added a unique challenge to the gameplay. Galactic Struggle offered seven waves of mayhem. With each wave, the difficulty was increased. Completing all seven waves was not an easy task. Not without wasting a pocket full of quarters, anyway. Downloads n/a Review Galactic Struggle II: The Next Wave was manufactured in the summer of 1986. Just like its predecessor, it was in limited release. Although, in this case, that was a good thing. Galactic Struggle II failed to improve the established gameplay mechanics. Basically, it was a complete rehash of the original Galactic Struggle. So, if you ever have the misfortune of finding Galactic Struggle II: The Next Wave in an arcade, do yourself a favor and walk away. Please, just walk away. This site is managed by Jason Biggs.
